Mizan Tepi University is a newly established Ethiopian public university located in Ethiopia. The Mizan Tepi University (MTU) is one of the public higher learning institutions established in 2006. Mizan Tepi University has two campuses namely Mizan and Tepi.

Mizan-Tepi University aspires to be the leading higher educational institution being center of excellence in education and research in areas of natural resources and cultural value utilization for development. Recently Mizan-Aman General Hospital was included as Teaching Hospital where we are going to move Health Science College and open Medical school.

Location:
Mizan Tepi University is located in the southwest part of Ethiopia and has initially two campuses namely, Mizan and Tepi. The main campus is situated in Mizan-Aman Town which is the seat of Bench Maji Zone, and Tepi Campus is located at 52 kilometers distance from Mizan in Tepi Town of Sheka Zone.
Students
In the past eight years, the university has shown a significant change in increasing the students’ enrollment to 6709 in regular program and 3684 students in continuing and summer programs.
